What’s the best drink you’ve ever had?
It probably wasn’t because of the recipe.
It was because of who you shared it with.
THE FINAL POUR
Why this book exhists
I didn't write this book to teach people how to bartend.
I wrote it because after ten years behind the bar, I realized something.
The drinks were never the most important part.
People were.
I wanted to remember them. I hope you'll remember someone too.
- Vincent

“People rarely remember every drink. They always remember how you made them feel.”
What I Didn't Expect
When I started bartending I thought success meant learning recipes.
Then I thought it meant making better drinks.
Then I thought it meant running a successful business.
Ten years later I realized none of those things mattered as much as I thought.
The drinks faded.
The conversations didn't.
The weddings.
The celebrations.
The people who came back every year.
Those are the things that stayed with me.
That's why this book exists.

“Every drink eventually ends.
The memories rarely do.”

"I thought I was learning to bartend."
One private event.
One vintage cocktail kit.
No idea it would chang my life.
"The business grew. So did the responsibility"
Hospitality became more than a service.
It became a promise.
"People stopped hiring drinks. They started hiring experiences."
That changed everything.
"I realized I wasn't writing about cocktails. I was writing about people."

Maybe You'll Remember Someone Too.
Every page in this book reminds me of someone.

Behind every Pour

In 2011, I accepted a single bartending event expecting nothing more than a second income.
I never imagined it would become a decade long journey that would change the way I viewed people, hospitality and success.
Toghether Angila and I served weddings, birthdays, corporate events, holiday parties and celebrations across California and Arizona.
Along the way we discovered something unexpected.
The drinks were only the beginning.
What people truly remembered was how they were treated.
The Final Pour is our way of preserving those memories - not because they were extraordinary events, but because the people were.
This book is our way of saying thank you to everyone who became part of that journey.
It was never really about the drinks. It was always about the people.
